I'm not sure if simile is the right word. Aren't they used to describe things such as this pie is as hot as the sun. You wouldn't say pie and sun better together, but you would say this pie and my fork better together, and you wouldn't say the pie is like a fork, heh I've started gibbering now.

lol, I wrote a paper on how Whora The Explorer is a Spanish Spy and Nick Jr. Works for Spain and in 20 years Spain will rule over America. I even mention Lazytown in the paper

The paper had to be a satire btw

      Rockband is awesome!

I'm not down with the specifics of the simile, but the lyrics are drawing a comparison. It might not be a strict simile, but I think it's closer than a metaphor.

I may well be wrong, though.

Seconding moomoo's point, I offer you this simple reminder:

They're going to put their treehouse over there.
          They're-contraction of They are
          Their-possession
          There-location

Nice job with the analysis, and I hope you do well.
I seriously need a new sig. Will try Photoshop later.

They aren't similes at all. If anything, the song is a catalogue of items that are parallel in their relationships to each other. If you were to remove the obvious statement of theme, it would be implied by analyzing the repetition of the relationship between the objects...

Simile is flat out the wrong term, since they aren't comparisons at all.

^Thank you, your speech is more eloquent than mine. I could never come up with the proper way to categorize the song's comparisons, but that sounds correct.

Would you like help with proofreading it or anything, CJ? I'd like to help, send a PM if you're interested.

Hmm, well, from reading your essay there...I can say that you need to spend a few more years in that English class.

I got one of these sprung on me as well, except I had to pick the song before the assignment was given.

I ended up having to write an analysis of the message in Bing Bang, which was quite tough considering much of the song is nonsense.

^Oh, wow. I respect you for pulling that one off!

If I had to pick a LazyTown song to analyze, it would be the Spooky Song. I'd write about the power of suggestion with certain noises in the dark, the pleasure in scaring an innocent friend, and things of that nature.

I'm honestly surprised anyone would try to write crits of LazyTown songs. They're good, but they really don't have any depth to them... :|

I didn't know I'd have to write a paper on it, or I would have chosen something different.

Yeah, the message is usually spelled out clear several times in the song, it hardly warrants analyzing.
