What is it with America and learning Spanish? Seems to be quite the thing over there.

It's not just "a thing" or a fad, its the second-most-used language here. Ppl are learning it cuz there are already tons here who speak it naturally.

I dont speak it myself, but as my town has a high percentage of those who do, and I've even had to live in a foster home where it was *only* Spanish-speaking, I kno a few words by sound.
