Hound Dog (Dakota Fanning's current project.)

Some of you may or may not have heard about this movie. It is a low budget (around 3 mill.) independent film about a young girl, Lewellen (Fanning) who gets raped. She overcomes it through music, and singing Elvis songs, blah, blah, it's set in the 1950's... The IMDb profile explains it better than I can.

Anyway, yeah I'll probably see it just because Dakota's in it, and I'm a big fan, but I doubt this movie will be good. It's already received really harsh criticism about the rape scene. However, according to what I've read, it only shows her face, leg, and hand, and only implies that she is being raped. It is also dark. This movie sounds like a flop, and a waste of Dakota's time. She did say that she took the part in this low budget film because she wanted a challenge, and this was something she had never done before, which is good. She also says she wasn't in it for the money.

The reviews that I've read (it's not out yet, but people saw the screening at the Sundance Festival) said that she is good in an otherwise bad movie. I still kinda want to see it, like I said, I bet it will suck.
