Edit: I bet I know where the missing posts went! Either:

-The mods probably deleted a huge topic that we wouldn't notice was missing, just for the hell of it.
-The mods probably have a secret forum that the rest of us can't see, where they boost their post counts and gossip over tea.
-The mods are so fast that they delete spam in the blink of an eye, before any of us ever see it.

Those are all rather true in fact. Except we don't boost post counts (well, not all of us anyway) or gossip.
And we don't delete topics regularly, but we got a big one a while back.
