The way BF 1942 CD keys work is when you connect to a server, EA verifies if it's a valid key. That's all. Multiple people can use the same CD key at the same time, and it's not really possible to "steal" a CD key from someone. The only way it would be banned/deactivated is if a shitload of people started using it, but it would only be me and whoever lets me borrow one. It would also be highly unlikely an instance would ever occur where we both are using the same CD key, at the exact same time.
