Pornography? Where did that come from? From the adult fanfics you mentioned in your comment? Why are people attacking him about that? Weird hippies. I do like how Stefán "has not become sick" from all the junk going on. :)

My guess is word got out, obviously, about all the adult artwork/fics/jokes/etc floating about, then decided somehow that he was really involved somehow, and got uppity about him running an organization focused on small children.

Pure nonsense, of course, but whatcha gonna do?

Poor Stefán! :( It must really suck when you're misrepresented like that, especially when you're trying to help kids. I hope not too many people actually believe those things!

Oh and yay, they're branching into Canada! I hope he visits!! Actually, I hope he visits BC, not those silly other provinces ;).

Yeah, my guess is that when the branch opens, he'll be touring in the area, trying to whip up attention and inform others of the cause. ^_^

It's especially tough to endure those sorts of rumors when you run an organization aimed for kids and youth. :/ Kids shouldn't be having a reason to fear going there for help, and adults sometimes mob against things before doing thorough research to confirm that the rumors are true. Nobody wants to see kids get hurt when it's preventable, after all.

so is this somehow my fault? :( lol, no srsly though... i was thinking about it, and i don't see any other way that a rumor like that could have started. it had to have been from all drawings, stories, jokes, ytmnds, etc. out there on the internets. the thing is crazy people do that to literally every show! :? but since lazytown is the first successful international show to come out of iceland, they probably haven't had previous experience with this kind of thing. so i'm sure it is a shock to them... but they shouldn't blame stefan karl for something a couple fags did on the series of tubes! jeeze, that should be obvious. i haven't done anything that was "obscene", but i still feel pretty guilty about this.

Awww, it's not your fault LoveTHYconan!!! *hugs* It's the people that don't do their research very well and attack other people over rumours that are untrue. I'm sure if these people watched LazyTown without any pre-conceived ideas, they'd see that it's really a great kids show about being healthy. Sure, we find subtext in it, but that's just because it's funny to do that - we don't actually believe that they're trying to brainwash kids or anything, and we're aware that we're making up most of it anyway.

And, because he's just that awesome: Whoooo, go Stefán!

I highly doubt that you had any personal hand in any of this. It's a bunch of people jumping to illogical conclusions and attacking people who don't deserve it.

and I also agree with you Sylvanas, I have actually never seen any really dirty fanart ever online of stephanie with any of the adult characters on that show. (not talking about ytmnd stuff). Most of it is just light sportarobbie stuff. And if stephanie is looked at romantically in most arts/fics they make her older....but people still freak out and attack..*sigh*

Oh, believe me; the dirty, underage SportaSteph fanart is around. That's one of the reasons we started making posts on the LJ moderated - we had a few people trying to post chan artwork, or sneak links to it in with regular art posts. And then there was the case of the German "fanclub"... -.-

Just because it isn't appearing on the "mainstream" fandom sites doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Well I don't want to get to f ar off topic but was that "fanclub" ever proven to be approved by LT Entertainment or whatever they claimed? They had a few good music vids and some nice high quality pictures but it was kinda creepy, there was vids on their site of like young girls dancing at some weird club place or something....strange.

No. It was rather funny, actually. They weren't officially approved, they were involved with shady stuff, including hits of kid porn, they frequently stole work from other sites without crediting, the webmaster's photos of his "two employees" were pictures taken directly from a free stock photography site, his hits counter was a .gif file that counted from 14,000 to 14,999 at one hit a second and then reset.... XD

The site has disappeared since we voiced complaints and concerns.
