well, the fanfiction I'm in the middle of writing has several original characters in it so far. In order of introduction, they're Lillian (the salesperson from the scene in which Sportacus takes Stephanie shopping), Nina (Sportacus's mum), Jessica (a childhood friend of Sportacus's) and Peta (Pixel's mum). Lillian and Jessica are both relatively unimportant, Nina is a (she tries to molest Pixel), and Peta is racist against elves.
The canon characters are quite awesome enough for me, thank you.

Rather than a new character, I'd bring back some of the old ones who naver made it to the TV series, such as Maggi (Jives) and Lolli the policemen.
