It's too much to derail the GH thread with, so here they is.
(Roughly in order of when I got them.)
Basses
My first bass. A good old reliable Tanglewood.
Unfortunately the nut snapped long ago, so I can't completely restring her, so she's been relegated to catering for my more eccentric moods.

My Westone. A real raw, brutal tone. Great for slapping.

My first 5-string. A beautiful blue tiger-striped Yamaha.

The twins. Though one's called Artisan and the other StarFire, they're virtually identical.
I got them within a week of each other. I'm not sure why.

My Westfield 5-sting. Not much to say about this one.
I got her because she's about half the weight of the old Yam.
Sounds great, though.

My little piccolo. Isn't she cute?
The top string's snapped at the moment, and because there's not much call for a bass string that thin It's gonna cost me a lot to replace it. Supply and demand sucks.

Ah, my Shine active 5-string. She's a little unwieldy, but like a good woman, taming her is half the fun.

My baby. 6-string custom Dean. Delicious. :fap:

Guitars
My first guitar. A white Marlin Sidewinder.
Notice the big hole where the bridge should be?
That's because the bridge was attached to a brittle plastic tremolo unit that disintegrated within months of me getting it.
But it was 2nd hand, so I couldn't take it back or anything.

My current electric. Just a Cruiser by Crafter, nothing expensive or fancy.
Looks cool though, don't she?

My electro-acoustic. Another Cruiser by Crafter.
You can see all the junk in my room reflected in this one.

And the pride of my collection. My dad's old Gibson Jumbo, which he bought in the early 60s.
I got it off him after he fell off a ladder and screwed up his left wrist, so now he can't play guitar any more.
I gave him my old electric piano (proper electric piano, not just a keyboard) and got this beauty in return.
She sounds fantastic, especially when tuned down to C. It's a real fat, earthy, raw, bluesy tone.

Last but not least...
The kiddies.
My little blue uke, which I'm still thinking about painting a white & black Sportacus stripe on.
And the mystery machine, a 12-string cross between a banjo and a mandolin. I got it from my adopted grandfather when he died.
I've taken it to a few different people to try and find out what strings it takes and what tuning it uses so I can restring it and maybe figure out how to use it, but none of them have had any idea.

Post your guitars and other instruments here.
Or don't.
Incidentally, if you feel that this was a waste of your time and precious internets, blame Dawn.
