I concur.
I know that with the thought of him helpless and tied up in traction it will be tough not to entertain certain ideas, but you really should go easy on him.

Especially after I'm done with him, he won't be able to take much more.

Oh geez...

I slipped a disc in my back last night, cleaning the bathtub. Spent the next roughly 12 hours on the couch, before I felt well enough to get up and go to the bathroom and assemble a sandwich. In between, I got a lot of help from my landlord, who offered to move my cars to the other side of the street (as we have to do), made me a frozen pizza and got me a few things so I'd be comfortable. He even went so far as to program my universal remote (which I had neglected to do, basically out of lethargy or disconcern) so I could watch some TV, etc. Glad I have a landlord who's a good guy, and much less actually gives a shit. Dunno what I would have done otherwise.

Well he does need you to keep paying the rent.
