At least we have the US audio now
Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc.

That's nice... now you should rip it properly.

Does your DVR have a Firewire port?

It appears to have two firewire 1394 6-pin ports. But Sprout has copyright flags up 24/7 so I doubt that would work.

Keep these recordings archived on your DVR.

Have you looked into getting a CableCard tuner? This unit will be sufficient. With this device it will record directly to your PC. Sprout HD should be recognized as "copy freely" by this unit. Comcast only applies the CCI 0x02 (copy once) bit to premium channels.

The copyright flags Sprout has on the Firewire are likely lower forms of copy protection which the "copy freely" CCI flag overrides in the case of a CableCARD tuner.

Sufficient for what? I prefer to watch on TV anyway. I fail to see how buying a CableCard tuner would fulfill my objective of teasing you guys.

I tried syncing the audio with the UK episode rip from Cartoonito but the problem is that the one aired on Sprout has some small segments cut off, probably to reduce the episode length and fixing the cuts and adjusting the audio speed is too much work. I've managed to do able half of the 1st episode though.

I'm sure if nindanjoe was here he could do it.

EDIT - Woop, finished it, will upload if I can.

Why even waste your time with this trash

Just wait for the proper copies...

Trying to sync cell phone audio to some 480i recorded-via-composite cable recording. Jesus Christ. This is the most ridiculous display of incompetence I've ever seen.

Video CD swapping pirates in the 1990's did a better job of sharing copyrighted material than this.

Not cell phone audio. DVD recorder audio.

I thought it'd be some good practice to play around with learning to sync audio since it's my first time. I did take that into consideration though. The audio quality isn't as terrible as you think, but you are right about the 480i composite recording.

Well, if the worst happens and we don't get any real digital copies then I might record it once it airs in Australia (no idea when that will happen). It will probably be in 720p though and not 1080p because the channel that normally airs LazyTown decided to scrap their HD (1080p) channels two years ago.
