We of course have the traditional ones like Rudolph translated, that we often sing at Christmas eve. But Denmark (and Scandinavia I think??) actually have something unique you Americans could learn from.

Every December month, a new series is made. It's series consisting of 24 episodes (remember that we celebrate Christmas the 24th). It's called Julekalender, which could be loosely translated to advent calendar, only we celebrate every day + the four Sundays. Then every day you gather with your family, and watch a new episode. It's often some cliché stories following the basic three-act structure, that ends with 'the christmas ending good after all', but it's really cozy. These series often contains songs (much like another television show we all enjoy here ;) ). So pretty much every year, the favourite Christmas song is the big Julekalender-hit of the year.

Aaaaaaaanyway, I'm getting off course here.. yet again

Some years ago a Danish satirical show called The Boys from Angora, consisting of only 3 guys, was pretty dominating in the television for youths.
They decided to end their first season with a blast, and make a Christmas song with all of their fictional characters in. Ever since that Christmas in 2004, the song has been dominating the Christmas music here in Denmark.

Btw, there's both a Russian and Dutchman in the video. See if you can spot them Parviz and Pooky ;)

Another one you're not getting past, is the Christmas calender from 2006. Christmas at Vesterbro.
Made by the comedian Anders 'Anden' Matthesen, where he played all of the roles by himself. It portraits a family living in what used to be the worst part of Copenhagen, and their preparations up to Christmas eve.

Had enough yet? Okay, I'll move away from some of the newer stuff, and instead give you guys the most basic one out there. This is the only song you have to know up to Christmas, as we always sing it while dancing around the Christmas tree.
High away from the trees Green Top

I actually searched around, and it turns out that one of our most popular ones got translated for BBC. Have a look to see what the buzz is about (no not you Buzz.. )

I have always loved this video. The use of time lapse plus macro lenses make for a wonderful work of art.

Good attempt by Pentatonix but nothing beats the solo orchestra of that song

Pentatonix's musical performance was (as usually happens) very good!:

(I like Kisrtie very much, I really do, but in this video I just simply could not look at her: that look of Princess Leia was not intended for her at all!)

I have always liked this kind of video: science + video edition + a lot of imagination & creativity, :)

(It makes my thoughts simply blow away with all the things and ideas that come to my mind at the same time, )
