Ah yes Bjork I liked some of her songs and music videos from the 2000's

Youtube seems to hide this one. If you just do a simple search
for her music it doesn't show up. I had to remember the name of song for this one then it shows up.

          "Debut" was from 1993.

I never did look that up. I said the 2000's because that's when I came across them.

The youtuber spelled "Violently" wrong so I am surprised you found it at all. If that's an official channel, that's pretty sloppy.

All these songs are off her "Debut" solo album.

She was in The Sugarcubes before that, I had a friend who was into them, but I never listened to their music.

Could be they were trying to get past whatever Youtuber is doing.
You wouldn't believe the amount of words you can't say on youtube
even in the comments. We have created our own sort of pig latin like

Iceland has an AMAZING black metal scene. Svartidauði, Misþyrming, Auðn, ect. I would love to see them live one day; black metal is insane at live performances

        I was curious. Greenland.

Comment: "this video has more views than there is people in greenland" 😁

Nanook: "Nanook's lyrics are in Greenlandic. They refused an offer from Sony as the company wanted them to switch to English. Their music style is soft and melodic indie rock"

        Music starts at 1:01

Metal bands too (for those that are interested)

Ooooohh Greenland! Moonlight Drowns is great, and here's a fun fact: After their first album, they moved to Australia! There's not much info about it though.

There's a few bands I listen to that are from surprising countries (all metal lol)

          Demonic Resurrection: India
          District Unknown: Afghanistan
          Al-Namrood: Saudi Arabia
          Before Crush: Angola
          Odious: Egypt

Also, mad respect for Nanook for refusing to translate the lyrics, artistic integrity is one of the best qualities a band/artist can have

Somehow, this band from Siberia showed up in the Greenland search.

Otyken: "Otyken is a Russian Siberian indigenous music group that mixes elements of modern pop with local folk music"

Music starts at 0:21. Tune is kind of catchy. Singer could possibly be a Siberian Bjork 😄

Definitely some interesting videos being posted here lately. I like the Siberian tune but I like the visuals/stories from the Icelandic ones more.

Reminds me of those Viking live music videos. Same group Otyken.

The stringed instrument they play sounds a lot like some Middle Eastern music I've heard.

I almost forgot got side tracked. That sounds similar to a song you've used before.
Is it from the same Band?

This is what I found out so far

"otyken_official: A girl named Kunchari plays a musical instrument that looks like a cello. We named this instrument "Ikili" (Morinhur). Or just a music skull."

Aiko - Bass Guitarist, Khomys Player (also known as the Jaw harp)

                Snezhana - Maracas Player

It's very confusing this band page lists all the members but some of them have come and gone
or are new to the group. Some of them share the same instrument playing. Not all
the instruments seem to be listed in it though.

                https://kprofiles.com/otyken-members-profile-facts/

I was able to nail down the instrument as the komuz (The instrument can be found in Turkic ethnic groups, from China to Turkey).
That's the instrument being played on the far right in the video. I think that's the instrument you are referring to?

                Here's one more from them

Not sure. If you look on youtube for "komuz music" you will find plenty but none sound like the note plucking they do in that video. I suspect it's like a regular guitar, you can play chords or you can pluck individual notes. It sounded like Otyken was plucking notes and had an electric mic pickup as well.
