No they are crickets. But there's so many of them this season. Probably due to all
the rain and lush fauna. It's not a loud noise but a constant cricket sound in the background
you can't escape from heh. Until you exit the park.
I did rather miss the Lightning bug season which is usually around the beginning of summer.- Translate

Yeah when Hornets go on the war path the perimeter is quite large.
Wasps, Hornets and bees oh my.
Talking about bugs, the parks around here have become very noisy places day or night.
It's Cricket breading season. Noisy parks until around the beginning of October.- Translate

Keep seeing posts in the pest control subreddit about these. People post pics of their nests and ask what is this, how do I get rid of it. This time of year apparently they start to get aggressive as well as numerous. One guy working construction thought he would be safe working 60 feet away from the nest. He wasn't.- Translate
