    I love trains

    Culture

At 16:00 a visit to a real location that was used in an Anime "Slam Dunk" 16:31 a screenshot from the Anime

I end up on the craziest videos at times
Though I have to admit, I do love trains.

When I go to bed and sometimes when I wake up in the middle the night when nature calls
I end up watching things before falling back to sleep
Also, with the laptop sitting next to me I'll have songs playing or random videos as background.

As for actual hours, I couldn't tell ya.

So many Pikachus. They should have called it the Pikachu Train, they didn't use any other pokes. There are so many, I would think they would have used them all. You could decorate the entire train without duplicating one.

I chuckled at his comment about the train being Pikachu themed but the train has no
power outlets available for passengers to charge their phones or whatever heh

I've actually gone back and watched these train videos late at night when I was winding down. They are soothing because of the lack of voices and frantic zooms and camera cuts, kind of like an ASMR.

Why do you love trains? I haven't ridden many in my life, other than while sightseeing in the UK, and commuting to work on the Metro in D.C. (which was not fun at all - overcrowded standing-room-only trains and many cars with broken air conditioning). I did enjoy the trains in the UK other than that time the conductor in Ireland yelled at me for having my (shoes off, socks on) feet up on the table. I deserved that though.

Jersey Shore. The sound of the diesel engine entering the town at times tooting the horn.
I dunno just something about trains. The arcade had a side kids park with a mini train we kids
could ride at the time. The engine the guy could barely fit in as he drove us around the circular track.
It was pretty cool. Always wanted one those myself. Think George RR Martin (Game of Thrones) bought one of those for his
backyard. But yeah the videos are soothing too.

chuft Wow, you've been to the UK! How was it there? Aside from NYC and Paris I wanna go there. The shoes off story is hilarious lol.

I really liked it - now this was long ago of course. I have been there twice, for about a month each time, touring England, Scotland, Wales, and the Republic of Ireland. Haven't been to Northern Ireland. You can take trains most places, so I mostly did that and walked. There are some areas where you have to rent a car and drive around. I didn't like that so much, they drive on the left side of the road, and the roads are really narrow, sometimes only one car wide, with no shoulder, and stone walls on either side. Driving there is not relaxing lol. But it's the only way to get to certain areas, or visit some places like some ruins/henges. Also took a bus tour or two, those are more relaxing than driving yourself.

I really really love going on buses. If I was there I would have taken quick pics of Ben.

The rent-a-car thing could go so wrong in so much ways, some idiot could turn it into a 'steal-a-car' criteria for themselves.

Speaking of pictures, do you have any from the whole expierence?

Technically I have travelled myself - I was born in Perth and have lived in Sydney since 2018. But considering the fact i was FOUR YEARS OLD on the plane ride, I don't remember anything. But mom tells me I took photos of everyone else sleeping haha. I was fricking stupid when I was four.

I love buses too. I find that buses are more relaxing than trains. Although trains are more useful compared to buses. I’ve travelled to 4 different states in Australia. 3 states that I’ve lived in. While 1 state I’ve only visited for family

I am not notified of replies to my comment. This is a problem with using comments instead of posts.

I do have pictures from my trips to the UK but they are not digital. This was before all that.

Why does the title of this thread sound like a Bill Wurtz song to me?

                        Probably because of this jingle
