I dated someone once that called Van Halen a "pop band" which made me realize she had not heard their earlier stuff like Eruption. I think she only knew their later keyboard stuff like "Jump".

Somewhat reminds me of how - although unrelated to Van Halen - some artists are only ever known from One-hit wonders, like MC Hammer's "U can't touch this", Baha Men's "Who let the Dogs out", or Las Ketchup's "The Ketchup Song" (which funnily enough got parodied here in Germany as the "Steuersong" i.e. "Tax-song". It was played on "Die Gerd Show", which was a satirical radio show broadcast satirizing the term of Chancellor Gerhard Schröder and the exorbitant taxes that were issued during his time. It even reached the number one spot in Germany and Austria in 2002, and went double platinum in 2004, having sold over a million copies.)

What I've found is artists who are one hit wonders in the US are often much more sustained in their popularity in Britain. For example

"The album was reissued on CD in 2000 and retitled The Dramatis Project. The reissue was also credited to Tubeway Army featuring Gary Numan,[3] despite Numan's only contribution being the vocal to 'Love Needs No Disguise'.

The album was made available again in 2014 as a digital download only, this time under the title Terrestrial Channels and with Numan as the sole artist credit."

LOL that's obnoxious. The album ended up credited to one guy who did the vocal on one song.

I think I had that album. I must have because I remember this song

"Love Needs No Disguise" is a bonus track on the Japanese edition of the Numan "I, Assassin" CD that I have as part of a boxed set.

I like I’m a believer as well. But I heard it so many times it became kind of mid for me (it was my primary school’s practice drill alarm).

I this heard this song for the first time. Yesterday, it sounds so beautiful

I remember that album cover. One of my siblings had it on vinyl.

Strange hearing "I'm a believer", to me that is an ancient Monkees song.

                    I like this version.

Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc.

Not bad. Almost sounds like Bananarama.

The person in the back is wearing some strange outfit that makes her look incredibly wide, like David Byrne in the Stop Making Sense tour/movie.

I only wanted to put the first song, but I can't find it anywhere except on this strange "unreleased' video. I think this is the best version of this song.

(Btw I wouldn’t recommend watching the music video for this song xP)

Anyways, this morning my bus’s radio was playing all star. What a coincidence lol xD
