A while ago I began catching these rather hilarious sci-fi videos.
Usually titled Deathworlder this or that. Earth is classified a Deathworld
because everything about the planet is trying to kill you. That's the
premise. Last night I came across this one in the same vein as those with
a twist. It made me immediately start thinking what if this happened
in Lazytown and thought of the episode Sportacus Who.

I have to say they did a nice job on Star Trek Unification part of the
Star Trek Roddenberry archiving. A Tribute to Captain James T. Kirk.
I had seen it the other day.

        A nice review of it

As of today, Dune the movie is now officially 40 years old.
What a movie it was. Sure it has its problems but what movie doesn't.
Still better than that new one.

Did you watch Dune Part II? I am guessing not.

We watched an episode the other day of the new Dune TV series on Max. Prequel based on books written after Frank's death by his son etc. Didn't make much of an impression. We just watched the first episode of Rings of Power Season 2 on Amazon, was much better, although the ads are annoying and you have to tolerate them changing virtually every element of Tolkien's story.

No I haven't bothered watching Part II.

Rings of Power, like The Mandalorian I only got up to 3 episodes on season 1
and just went bleh. Mandalorian was just boring and the music was not Star Wars. I know the lore too well from
the Silmarillion. Imo they botched it. I'd rather they have done Beren and Lúthien but they don't have the rights for it.
Heck, Amazon only has the rights to the appendices. That's why they had to make things up and severely change things.
That aren't in the Appendices. They just don't have the talent for that anymore.

Think of it like the two Star Treks. You have the Prime and Kelvin time lines.
JJ Abrahams is the Kelvin timeline and has to be 25% different than Prime timeline due to rights and all that.
The Prime timeline is the real Trek.

All this rights stuff is insane imo

Jim Morrison a member of the infamous 27 club. That club always intrigued me how that has become a thing.
Amy Winehouse is the most recent member of that club.

Speaking of things the word Member just put re in front of it and it becomes Remember.
Wonder which word was first and who decided to either remove the re or add it.

I don't know about you, but the 27 club feels exploitative to me. These people are dead and randos add stupid urban myths and conspiracies to their name. It's not needed and it no doubt harms the families of the deceased

Also, Chance Perdomo (The Boys, Midsomer Murders, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina ect) is the most recent "member", as he died in March of this year. Although again, I hate the idea of the 27 club

The new Superman movie trailer dropped. Same old Superman tropes.
Nothing new to the live action versions really except for one character that shows up and it
                      isn't human.

                      At 1:43 I did a double take.

I like the behind the song stories, especially from the 80s.
Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc.

Yup I learned something new too at 10:26 Their label didn't belong to BPI (British Phonographic Industry)
So no Gold Records. I didn't know labels had to belong to certain organizations to get those. Also the story about Quincy Jones after that.
Pretty much what I've hear about him being such a nice guy.
