Re: How to get LazyTown Champions to work?
ah I was hoping you got a solution for that, but unfortunately
It's somewhere in the launcher.exe file that triggers that, and the CD has a secret key.Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc. -

Try to uninstall the software on your computer ( Startmenu >> Compedia Multimedia >> LazyTown Champions >> LazyTown Champions - uninstall ) and install again from the setup file on the CD. Than try again run the game from CD.Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. Re: How to get LazyTown Champions to work?
What OS are you using? If it's Windows 10 or Windows 7, set compatibility mode to windows XP or even Windows 98.
Right click on desktop icon, select properties (on the bottom of that window) and select the Compatibility Tab.
Almost forgot this one. If that don't work, you may also need to go even more low level:
1:Enter your Motherboard BIOS/Setup Utility
2:Locate the Serial ATA or SATA configuration section
3:Change the mode of the SATA controller from AHCI to IDE or Compatibility
4:Save & Exit
I've had this happen to me with an older game with a CD check or if the game doesn't install entirely onto your hard drive and uses the cd those read files.
The above fixes should work with the other Lazytown games on the CD/DVD where you are getting the "cannot run without the original CD in drive"Comment

Is this a CD or a pirated copy? If it's a pirated copy, don't forget to replace the original exe file with the crack file

The game plays from the CD/DVD all the time. The installer put a link on your desktop that runs "launcher.exe /cfg:.\script.ini /lng:en-us". As soon as the launcher.exe loads it said 'This program cannot run without the original CD in the drive.' There must be a key on the original CD that is not transferred to the iso and to another disk. This counts only for he Festival Game though.

That doesn't work for the Festival Game.

Anyway, thought the Champions had a cracked file. I haven't checked it again since it's on one of my backup drives and I don't remember which drive heh. The above method I posted will work though for legit CD/DVD program/game disks when you get that issue about it not finding a CD/DVD for much older games.

As a follow up, I just looked into CloneCd to make sure I remembered right. Yes I did. However, looks like a big change has happened.
CloneCD is proprietary optical disc authoring software that makes exact, 1:1 copies of music and data CDs and DVDs, regardless of any Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions. It was originally written by Oliver Kastl and offered by Swiss company Elaborate Bytes, but due to changes in European copyright law, they were forced to take it off the market.
The last version of CloneCD made by Elaborate Bytes was version 4.2.0.2. The software was subsequently sold by SlySoft, a company located in Antigua and Barbuda, whose legislation does not ban the circumvention of DRM schemes. Since 2016, it is sold by Belize/Latvia based RedFox. The current version of CloneCD is no longer region-restricted.Comment

Re: How to get LazyTown Champions to work?
I used clone-CD before and still have the old setup file with key (SlySoft.CloneCD.v5.3.1.4.Multilingual.Incl.Keymaker.And.Patch-CORE). I'm not sure if it can be used for a data CD, or is the original Game on a DVD? Anyway, the image was an ISO so definitely not made by CloneCD. Probably ImageBurn, ISOmaker or software like that.Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. CloneCD could read any type of CD (data or game) I do believe and I do think it did DVD's as well. You will need to burn it though since the .CCD file won't work right for DRM if you mount it. If you can mount it. I don't remember that part of it. I always did a burn disk with that.Comment

Re: How to get LazyTown Champions to work?
I use WinCDEmu on Windows 10 to play Champions, and it works fine!
I got an actual copy of Festival too and it works.
But making it as an ISO doesn't make it work...PKMNMasterClara
