    That's not a problem with any CD. "Round and Round" was mastered in such a way to make it sound vintage and somewhat amateurish. You have the primary layer, of it being a simple mic setup in the show, but there's also this oldies radio quality to the song. This ties into the song's lyrics, the choice of genre, and the visual performance elements. It's all very groovy, man.

    Ignoring the in-show context, it's technically this way because there's a tinny overlay to emulate old speakers and shoddy broadcasting. In addition, it's pretty much mono, with most of the audio heavily focused to the center.

    tl;dr it's supposed to sound radically different from fresh pop music.
