Movie Studio is a limited version of Vegas Pro.
It only supports 10 tracks instead of Pro's unlimited tracks and it only has two compositing modes instead of Pro's 16 modes, and a bunch more;. You can read about it in Sony's Product Comparison chart.I'm as sneaky as can be. None's sneakier than me.Note

So far, it's one of the most easy-to-use and intuitive video editing software that I have ever used (a good friend of mine presented it to me a long time ago and I have used in many of my videos editing, and every time I do that, I thanked that friend for this good tip
). One of the things that I like most about it is the easy way to handle frame by frame, allowing special video effects without using others sophisticated and complex video editing software.
The only negative points are:
1. This software never had new updates from 2008 (what a pity :?).
2. It has some troubles to handle FHD videos (1080p and 4K), requiring many PC resources.Note

The history goes back to 2003. Now it's called MPEG Video Wizard DVD.
For me the software from 2008 is good enough to make simple video edits and extract audio. Sometimes it has trouble handle video formats, that's true. I'm not sure it has been fixed in later releases.
