I used to clean install Windows 95 and 98 on a regular basis back in the day. XP too but not so much with Windows 7.
But yea, nothing better than just flush the whole thing and begin again from scratch.

Create the bootable USB drive with Rufus. Then use Gpart to reformat the drive.
The only thing that's a pain in the butt is the reinstalling of the programs.
But it's usually worth it in the end. I hope the Windows updating won't be
too bad after the fresh install.
What I'm going to do first is just install windows and use it a few days without
installing anything including the AMD graphics drivers. I'll use the standard drivers.
Just windows that's it. No chipset stuff either. I wanna see if I get the same issues with the random blue screens
and the occasional files corruption when I do the chkdsk. I've posted about that in the past. It's actually been behaving itself with that.
I keep checking daily and so far no file corruptions.
I ran the sfc /scannow as well and all those dism command line cleanup and restore just a litle while ago. Not going to do the
reinstall right away. I'm going to play around with the current install for a while longer. I'll probably do the
reinstall next weekend.
I could just do the refresh install keeping the data and such but like I said nothing like a complete fresh start.
