In Breakfast at Stephanie's, in Robbie's drawing of his plan, Sportacus looks more like an elf.

Could Sportacus still be considered an elf in the TV series?

In my opinion, it's implied that the show's Sportacus is actually human. That's why the whole 'if you try your best, anything is possible' message keeps being relayed - because Sportacus tried his best, and he got to that level legitimately, as a human.

And Robbie doesn't really do anything that would require being a 'fae' except possibly the whole 'turning around to change costumes' thing.
