It's disappointed me a little bit - for a long time I never joined or even looked at GL because its reputation said to me that I wouldn't really enjoy it. But I really wanted an active LT community since the livejournal one is rarely posted on so I joined and enjoyed it, and I still enjoy it! But it's brought it home again that there are still a massive amount of LT fans who clearly don't think of it how I do, and that saddens me a bit. It's not like I didn't know it, but I'm reminded of just how many fans there are that think Julianna is the most important and sometimes the only enjoyable thing about the show.

I'm not going to tell anyone this is wrong, because I don't believe it is. I'm happy that people can like Lazytown for all sorts of reasons but it's a shame to be reminded that I don't really know many people who like it for everything rather than just the actress portraying the main character...

My views on the topic are pretty simple. I've spent most of my time as a Lazytown fan obsessed with the version we think of as Latibær. I liked the TV show a lot but for a long time it didn't compare to the plays for me. And as a result, whilst I think Julianna is brilliant and I prefer her to some of the portrayals of Stephanie, I really think it's about Stephanie and not Julianna. There are other things about Lazytown that I believe are much, much more important. Whether LTE decides to keep Julianna on or get a new Stephanie or a new character or whatever, I have faith in them that it'll be a good decision. If it turns out not to be, then oh well, but at the moment I'm confident that whatever they do I will enjoy since so far they haven't made anything I didn't like.
    Seconded.

First, why not? This is a Steph-style ;)

    Second - I guess, JR :
    a) For now - she learns.
    b) For future - maybe she wants to play in real big cinema or theater?

Good point Ana, Juli is Steph's icon, They can change the history! Also, if Juli grew up it would look like a real life or not?

When someone mentions the Wizard of OZ, everyone thinks of that movie and Judy. It was a movie that could only have been created in a specific point in time. They've tried to replicate the magic but it can't be done.

As teh Sportagirl says, she's in college. When she finishes college she'll be WAY too old to play an eight year old IMO. I mean, the producers could age the cast a few years... maybe it was wrong for them to make Steph eight, I don't think any ages should have been given for the cast, so Steph could grow naturally.

It sounds reasonable after so many years. I was only thinking to european law (directives), where all "company-important" values (contracts, licences) should be noticed in their annual report when it's gone. A financial audit will always review such things, and if Icelandic law requre external auditors they would write it, so LTE's value not become overestimated. It's not only for the shareholdes (Magnus can have all shares), but bankers and partners must have trusted information to take their decisions. I don't know Icelandic law, it was just a bit unusual not to announce. Maybe she has 10-year contract shared-revenue.

Bam. Right there. That exact sentence is I think what divides the people posting on this topic.
There are more than one singing and dancing little girls out there (even ones with brown eyes)
For all we know, a new girl could be BETTER
