Julianna doesn't leave, they're just looking for a new Solla to perform at live shows in Iceland.

The original Stephanie, the American Julianne Rose Moriello, has left the show to begin a movie career after some six years in Lazytown.

Julianna have left the show. According to the news, LazyTown will be back with a new Stephanie. Nobody have audition for 800 peoples for a single-day live show.

800 is nothing, you have no idea how popular latibaer/lazytown is in Iceland. To be Stephanie/Solla for even one day is a great honor and I'm not surprised that many girls try to do the audition.

It's beticaforever here on GetLazy, she's a LT fan who has contact with LazyTown Studio.

I never said that. I'm only talking about this festival in Iceland. Julianna as well as Stefan Karl can do new episodes and/or the movie, but they are not ask for it so we don't know if they want to do that, although both have said that nothing has decided yet if they're not gonna play their character anymore for LazyTown. They can always change their mind, maybe by raising their salary, who knows. So nothing is for sure right now. The only thing for sure is that Stephanie is not played by Julianna at the Icelandic Festival ;)
So icenews.is wasn't so much very wrong, they only forgot to add some crucial information to it and twisted some words.
And if you get a facebook account you can add LTE yourself so you can ask them.

They can always change their mind, maybe by raising their salary, who knows.

Have any of them complained about salary? I'm just curious.. wouldn't be surprised if Julianna or Stefán hated Magnús

Not that I know of although money is always an interesting option to attract people, the most logical explanation why they wanna leave is that they want to move forward and I can't blame them.

True enough. Most peoples wants jobs that may give them better jobs, not always money motivating, but using skills and learn new. Still we understand an actress with fame can't live too poor. Living in N.Y. is quite different than Reykjavík. But I don't think she should expect one million dollar from LT. Life is still the same expect from furniture and fancy electronics.

Here's the info I got.

Julianna has not left the show. What that means is she hasnt saiid "**** this, I'm out"
But her contracts to work for LTE have expired, so she hasn't "left," but she doesn't work there anymore.

When they do start producing new material, I would guess that they would look for a new girl. But the auditions were only for a part in the show at the festival in March (I believe).

Ok so i get the audition was for a one time event, but it does seem to make a solid harbinger that Julianna may be going her own way very soon. It's not confirmed or so it would seem, but honestly I wouldn't mind seeing her dive into the movie business a little more. And there is no reason in the world she still couldn't be involved with lazytown for future projects. As long as she is doing something i would be happy. Even if it's movies unrelated to LT, because frankly i miss seeing her smile. yeah, sappy, I know, but watching re-runs and old youtube videos isn't enough, and the world on a broader scale really needs to meet her.

She have how-to-knowledge like the producers and other employees, think JRM would be good instructor for new Stephanie, and certainly hope she do.
