Somebody updated the wikipedia entry on it:

Stephanie and Ziggy decide to open a dance school in LazyTown. When Robbie learns of this his disguises himself as the head of famous dance school and invites Stephanie to join him far, far, away. Stephanie leaves in a plane piloted by the Mayor. Back in LazyTown, Robbie traps Sportacus in a trunk tied to helium balloons and sends it floating away. Robbie however gets stuck on the trunk too. It’s up to Stephanie and her uncle to save Sportacus and Robbie in a daring aerial rescue.

I'm surprised the Mayor can actually pilot a plane. I hope it's going to be different from the spaceship rescue like in Ziggy's Alien.

oh heck...we have photos from that episode!! One of those AVID behind the scenes vids shows the mayor and the airplane being filmed....and the balloons with robbie in his costume. I had them saved somewhere, anyone want to screencap it please and post?.

Oh, that makes a lot more sense now. So much for the ol' actor switcheroo. There's actually footage of this episode in the Avid LazyTown profile. Now I know what those ballons were for, why Robbie looked the way he looked, and why the Mayor was in an airplane. Thanks, ponycat! :)

I'd say the synopsis does sound like (G-rated) crackfic, but a lot of LT's plots sound like that.

Eh? Most of the shippy fic on LT's ff.net section is SportaSteph, and in theory none of the fic there should be smut at all (there are always those who break the rules, granted). Adultfanfiction.net, sure, most of it is SportaRobbie smut there, but not at the original site.
Either that or you have a very different definition of 'smut' to me (smut: n. a story (fanfiction or original) or part thereof with a detailed and erotic focus on an act of sex. Functionally banned at fanfiction.net because to be smut requires a fic to have more sexual content than the site's highest allowed rating. See also: PWP, Porn, Pr0n, erotica, sex scene, love scene, lemon, hentai).

As for whether its bad fanfiction, just because you don't like a genre's content doesn't mean it rules out the genre having artistic worth (also, the only SportaRobbie fic I've ever seen in which they get stuck in a box together doesn't even have snogging, let along shagging).

I'm hoping that the episode on Monday that is listed on my TV just as "LazyTown" will be Dancing Dream. Can't record it for you guys unfortunately, because I don't have the facilities for that, but I'll try to give a description if it is indeed that episode. *crosses fingers* Let's hope!
