Waterboarding... that's kinda like surfing, right?
I don't see anything in that article that tells me otherwise. :?

Also, wouldn't that technically be a dictatorship?

I don't see anything in that article that tells me otherwise. :?Originally posted by WikipediaWaterboarding is a form of torture that consists of immobilizing a person on his or her back, with the head inclined downward, and pouring water over the face and into the breathing passages. Through forced suffocation and inhalation of water, the subject experiences the process of drowning in a controlled environment and is made to believe that death is imminent. In contrast to merely submerging the head face-forward, waterboarding almost immediately elicits the gag reflex. Although waterboarding can be performed in ways that leave no lasting physical damage, it carries the risks of extreme pain, damage to the lungs, brain damage caused by oxygen deprivation, injuries (including broken bones) due to struggling against restraints, and even death. The psychological effects on victims of waterboarding can last for years after the procedure.sigpicComment

Yeah, I know. I'm not that dense. :)
I was just pointing out that the writer of that article didn't feel the need to mention what it was, nor even hint at it in the slightest.Originally posted by Julianna Rose OfficialGetLazy is our next target it will be closed very shortly.Comment

Ah, so it doesn't actually invalidate it or give him the authority to ignore it?Originally posted by Julianna Rose OfficialGetLazy is our next target it will be closed very shortly.Comment

If any of you seriously believe that's going to stop them from using torture, oh man. It would have been just another one of them "feel good" laws.Comment

So, let's get this straight.
They write an article that is largely about snowboarding... waterskiing... whatever, without ever hinting at what it is.
Then they imply that the president has carte blanche to effectively break the law, which simply is not true.
