I would be OK with him doing this if only he could determine who the real terrorists are.

Waterboarding... that's kinda like surfing, right?
I don't see anything in that article that tells me otherwise. :?

Who the hell thought it was a good idea to give anyone this much power?

Also, wouldn't that technically be a dictatorship?

Through forced suffocation and inhalation of water, the subject experiences the process of drowning in a controlled environment and is made to believe that death is imminent. In contrast to merely submerging the head face-forward, waterboarding almost immediately elicits the gag reflex. Although waterboarding can be performed in ways that leave no lasting physical damage, it carries the risks of extreme pain, damage to the lungs, brain damage caused by oxygen deprivation, injuries (including broken bones) due to struggling against restraints, and even death. The psychological effects on victims of waterboarding can last for years after the procedure.

Yeah, I know. I'm not that dense. :)
I was just pointing out that the writer of that article didn't feel the need to mention what it was, nor even hint at it in the slightest.

If any of you seriously believe that's going to stop them from using torture, oh man. It would have been just another one of them "feel good" laws.

                              No.
                              Right.
                              So, let's get this straight.

They write an article that is largely about snowboarding... waterskiing... whatever, without ever hinting at what it is.
Then they imply that the president has carte blanche to effectively break the law, which simply is not true.

CBS News - journalism at its finest.
