Well I don't use them (I have those Logitech 5.1 speakers everybody has, and I'll be getting some M-Audio monitors soon), I just happened to order the model with the speakers.

I actually plugged the speakers in out of curiosity, oh my God, they sounded worse than my cell phone.

That's cool. I personally use a seperate 5.1 HT stereo for my serious game playing and dvd watching. I use a 2.1 altec set for the casual stuff.

Yeah that's pretty much the consensus I've heard from people with built in monitor speakers. There are exceptions of course but they are few and far between.

Right, so I decided to tidy up my room today, here's the result:

Left Side
This is my "school supplies" side. Pencils, pens, sharpies, erasers, hole punch, paperclips, glue sticks, crayons...etc.

Middle
The part that makes me LoL most about this section are all the iMic cords lazytown4 sent me - they're underneath the lamp. They throw them away at his work but he saves them like OCD. They're absolutely pointless and we don't use them ever but each time I get a package from him, he sends me a few just for lulz.

Right Side
The top shelf houses my perfumes and whatnot. Also sunglasses. That purple fluffy thing is a color-changing iPod speaker something-or-other. It's super cheap and crappy but I love that it changes colors. Underneath is my printer, sitting in front of my nice little periodic table...completely covering it, actually. Haha, if you look carefully, you can see my new 500GB external HD. It's black so it might be hard to see. Also, I tape notes and post-its all over my desk.

Of course, I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. That's what all the stuff up on top of my desk is from. Except the I-Ching book.

LoL, boredjedi, yeah. I got an I Ching book. Haven't read it yet but it looked too fabulous to pass up. I love asian cultural living stuff like Zen and whatnot. I have a few zen books (also not read as of yet.)

Hellz YES it is! You know what's the best part? It's a combination mouse pad / notepad! It has 20 sheets of removable paper. So I can use it as both. You can kinda see where I already wrote on some of it, LoL!

Oh also, check out the Left Side photo - right in front of the glue stick and right behind the crayons is a Michael Scott memo notepad cube (right next to a very similar Dwight Schrute memo notepad cube.) LoL, they were for $1 in Target. I couldn't resist. Mousepad, too.
