For anyone who honestly doesnt kno and would like a REAL answer: A poser is someone who pretends to be someone else so they can trick the fans of that person into believing it. Often they have bad reasons for doing this, or they think its just some kind of twisted fun.

And FYI, yes there is a difference between "posers" and "roleplayers". Posers love to deceive fans into false beliefs, and like to act all righteous and hate on other posers of their celeb, but make friends with other posers of other celebs in their "group". While roleplayers "act" out a storyline, and always clearly say "roleplayer" on their profiles, etc, so smart fans will kno the difference, and they usually only friend other roleplayers so as not to confuse regular fans. I personally dont think ppl should roleplay as celebs either (altho "characters" are fine), but eh. At least no one is roleplaying as JRM, lol. There are a few Stephanie ones tho (and other LT chars).

PS. M*A*S*H is teh awesome ;DD (I recognized the name as soon as I read it, like, eh? But please dont use it in that context, yo!)
