    Yes
Martha is the dr's new assistant in season 3 and apparently shes staying for season 4.
    Too late for spoiler warnings?
    I guess so.

As of the season 3 finale, Martha's gone.
She will aparrently be turning up in Torchwood and a few odd episodes of DW, but she's not the regular companion anymore.

And Catherine Tate is always that irritating in everything she does.

I stand corrected! Straight from the David Tennant site:

Catherine Tate To Be The Doctor's Travelling Companion

The BBC have announced that Catharine Tate will be reprising her role as Donna Noble and will be joining Doctor Who as the Doctor's new permanent companion.
Catharine says: 'I am delighted to be returning to Doctor Who. I had a blast last Christmas and I look forward to travelling through time and space with that nice man from Gallifrey.'
Freema Agyeman will be returning as Martha Jones half way through the series and will be joining the Doctor and Donna on their travels.

I wasn't really aware of it till someone I had become friends with online thru our vidding sites, got me head-over-heels-hooked on Doctor/Rose ^-^ last November/December, thru her vids and such. I then spent Dec/Jan catching up on both seasons of (The New Adventures Of) Doctor Who, and ever since have been obsessed over the sappiness/angst/etc of Doctor/Rose(/Jack), but especially moreso (than usual with anything I like) becuz it was the first *show* (aside from LazyTown, which never exactly counted as it stands out in its own way) that I could actually get around to vidding, cuz the fewer eps made it easier to handle, hehe (whereas most of the other shows I want to vid, have 20+ eps per season, and like around 3+ seasons... oy... lol). When the third season started, I caught every ep as well- tho I miss Rose, Doc is still interesting and Martha has been pretty lovely. I didnt watch Torchwood until right before Jack's s3 DW eps, and then all too soon DW s3 was over... and now its back to fics and vids and plotting when / how we can get Rose back, lmao.

I have done 3 vids for them so far, with more planned, and have a bunch favorited too (some linked in the Whatre Listening To thread).

It'll probably be out in December or late November, early enough that people can get it as a Christmas present, but not so early that they've already got it.
And so the more "hardcore" fans can watch the season again before seeing the Xmas episode.

The third season is currently airing on the SciFi US cable network ( http://scifi.com/doctorwho/ ) every Friday night... No word on the dvd release yet, but here's the cover art and link to its Amazon page where you can sign up to be notified of the date:

"WtfTitanic?!" was totally my reaction too, lmao ;P

And a lot of hardcore fans... will have so over-watched the third season by Christmas, hehe!

I saw some of this on PBS, I think I was watching a season finale since it was a 2 or 3 parter. It seemed interesting.

Spoiler (press Quote to see, thanks, CJ ;)): Why did they change Dr. Who to some other guy? Was it annoying to fans of the show?

I never saw the show before, so I don't really know if those were spoilers.

LOL no, actually, ever since the first and original version of the show (this current one is more like... the new adventures of ;P), The Doctor "regenerates" into a new form when he is dying... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who In the new series, the actor for the 9th Doctor, Chris E, had only signed on for one season, and thus the change to David Tennant as the 10th Doctor in the second season... ^-^ Like any show that has diff actors for the same characters, there are always some fans that get annoyed and/or who have favorites. I like them both, tho... and I hope DT stays for a long time, at least until we get one season with Billie back! (The Doctor's Rose) Hehe...

I was sad Chris Eccleston would only be Doctor for one season. But even more sad is that Paul McGann only got to be the Eighth Doctor on screen for 80some minutes. I watched that 90s TV movie Doctor Who today. He was such a cool Doctor! Awesome outfit and such a romantic XD

And that Spoiler quote trick is neat! *swipes idea*

Just my thoughts after the end of season three: (***SO much better than the second season finale. I mean, even though I loved Rose and the climatic-almost-fell-to-her-death-in-the-void was really suspenseful, and then that tearjerker goodbye in the end, leaving Rose to, most likely, never get over the loss... It ended rather messy I suppose? Which bugged me so much in the third season, that the entire Doctor/companion dynamics were interfered with a bit because the Doctor couldn't seem to get over Rose. But the third season ended so sweet and tidy. No hard feelings or heartbreak. ^___^ I feel like I sorta rambled there but eh. And OMG JACK<3 He completely won me over. He should've kissed the Doctor goodbye again though, heee X3 But I love how this show ties everything together with past events. Jack=Face of Boe?? Holy hell! But now I'm waiting to see what the writers do about that one Dalek that escaped earlier in the season...***)

I think that's all I needed to say for now...

LOL dittooo about Jack & Doc ;P heee! I was SO waiting for *that* goodbye, but then the "revelation" about FoB threw me out of the moment, like, wha? Eh?! lol...

Hee, well I guess now I'll just have to start watching Torchwood until there's new Doctor Who. I heard for a spin-off it's actually really good?

Torchwood is great. I got the DVDs from Amazon in the UK, but they ended up showing it here in Australia.

Torchwood is a lot more adult. Lots of frank sexual scenes (including lots of homosexuality, gotta love Russel T Davies), and some episodes are really very violent. There was one episode about a welsh village that scared me witless, it was pure horror.

The characters are excellent, fantastic sets, and great stories. They tie it in well with Dr Who without making it obvious. It even has some of the 'bad wolf' and 'Mr Saxon' easter eggs.

My favorite bit is the fact that they have the doctor's hand (the one that David Tennant had cut off in the Christmas special with Billie Piper) in a jar. LOL !

Get it, watch it and enjoy !

I watched the first episode last night, and I definitely see what you're talking about it being more adult. But yeah that was cool! I was hoping it would pick up after Jack was abandoned, or when he restarted Torchwood, because I'd love to see more of his backstory. X3

Hee... the dismembered hand of the Doctor... most random prop ever.

LoL DSK ;D Yea, TW takes place kindve between DW s2 and the end of s3... so what you heard in the end of s3 is all we ever get about Jack's backstory so far. We had to wait forever for that ;DD cuz in TW, he is mostly mysterious and such... very secretive. And lol, the hand does seem random, doesnt it? Just odd the way it turns out to be as important as it does in the end of DW s3... ;P
