Re: Calendar - who's getting it?
If you have a ps2 with Action Replay Max, you can turn your ps2 into the ultimate DVD player (it can read any disk)!Originally posted by chuftSpeaking of which, since Lazytown DVDs are still available (and still being created it appears) in the U.K. does anyone know how to get a PAL DVD from Region 2 to play on a U.S. computer DVD drive? I just read this:
"As a further aside, if you have a Region 1 DVD player you in all likelihood cannot play PAL DVDs both for reasons of Region locking and because the great majority of Region 1 DVD players have had their PAL playback ability disabled, not to mention the fact that most NTSC display devices cannot display PAL images. Re: Calendar - who's getting it?
It should detect whether or not the dvd is a PAL or NTSC, if it is the a PAL DVD, It "overclocks" your dvd drive to increase the spindle angle coefficient to PAL standards. It also decreases the laser apeture size to ~15nm (ยฑ .08nm) so that it may more accurately read the data tracks on the DVD. Of course you don't really need to know all of that, but you did wonder :)Originally posted by chuftVery interesting!Originally posted by Xizerhttp://www.dvd-x-player.com/Originally posted by chuftSpeaking of which, since Lazytown DVDs are still available (and still being created it appears) in the U.K. does anyone know how to get a PAL DVD from Region 2 to play on a U.S. computer DVD drive? So I would assume PAL format on the DVD is not a problem with this software?
I wonder how it works.
Might have to get that LazyTown Karaoke DVD....WWJD

Re: Calendar - who's getting it?
Or in short terms we want lazytown in high defOriginally posted by chuftWhat I am really wondering about is PAL's aspect ratio. I know it has a higher vertical resolution than NTSC - is the resulting picture still 4:3 in aspect ratio somehow?- Translate
