But it does ebcome pretty difficult for non-smokers to go out if they don't want to stink of smoke and inhale it all evening. There are pretty much no non-smoking clubs or anything because it's bad business fending smokers from your establishment if your competitor down the street doesn't.

I obviously can't speak for where you are, but around here there were plenty.
They may not have been the "cool" places to go, but it's all part of the package.
You know the risks, you know the choices and you make a decision based on the pros and cons.

The smokers are just sitting there not bothering each other and you choose to go and stand next to them and breathe in their smoke. They're not forcing you.
If you complained about inhaling exhaust fumes whenever you stand behind a bus, people would tell you to quit being so ****ing stupid and stop standing behind buses.
If you choose to hang out in the smoking-permissive places, you should be willing to accept responsibility.

i think it's just gross. it's a personal decision if someone wants to or not, but i always wonder WHY people start. is it because they saw it glamorized on tv or something and wanted to join the smoking club? i don't know.

i dated a smoker when i was 16. he was 18. i hated how he just had to have a cigarette after a meal. it was disgusting. and kissing him was kinda gross, too. i never dated a smoker after that.

if someone wants to quit, it's great...more money for other stuff :)
