Now that I am listening to it, this "remastered" version is complete crap. He locked the original behind a Patreon paywall. Glad I downloaded it as an mp3 while I had the chance.l i t t l e

Sounds just like music from the Witcher and I think even Baldur's gate.
But yeah sometimes those remasters don't sound as good. Especially when they attempt to
rebalance using the different recorded tracks for the each instrument and vocals. That one relies
heavily on the person doing the remaster ear and preferences. The remastered may prefer more
bass, drums or symbols so that would get the biggest boost. Instead of just leaving things alone
and making an improved digital copy from the song's final completed master. Since that's what
the Artist, sound engineer and Producer all signed off on.- Translate

"The Rock" is a superb album, every band member gets to flex their musical muscles. It's shameful that it only ranked 143 on the US Billboard 200. It might of been a bit of a mistake on their (Billboard's) part, but it's hard to compete with "Abbey Road", "Led Zeppelin II", "Cosmo's Factory", "Let it be" and "Bridge over troubled water".
I probably shouldn't complain though, 1970 was a good year for music.
