    Total Eclipse April 8, 2024

This one kinda snuck up on me

The path of totality in North America begins in Mexico and ends in Main. Along its path, for example, totality begins at 1:40 pm CDT in Texas (Dallas). In Southern Indiana, totality begins around 2:02 p.m. CDT (Evansville). In Maine, totality begins around 3:32 pm EDT (Caribou). The eclipse will last for approximately four minutes and 28 seconds, making it one of the longest total solar eclipses of the 21st century.

On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will come to North America.

Exactly six years, seven months and 18 days after the same type of solar eclipse crossed the U.S. from Oregon through South Carolina on August 21, 2017, this much longer event will be visible from within a narrow path of totality through Mexico, the U.S. and Canada, according to NASA.

Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc.

No total for me though. I'll take the 90% that's close enough.

I watched NASA online. It was great and I'm sure it would have been more spectacular if you could have seen it happen over there. Went by pretty fast. A single eclipse lasted almost 4 minutes.

At work we looked at it through some sun-viewing glasses someone had. Also used the hole-in-a-paper method to see the shadow of it on the ground. About 53% here.

Oh dear I missed the Eclipsed. I was sucked into a vortex when they turned on the Hadron Collider (CERN) today. Took me forever
to get back to this plane of existence. Dammit CERN! You gotta stop doing that to me.

                    Oh no! 🙄
Gladly I have some of the NASA live stream downloaded.

I never imaged the shadow would look like this.
