Sounds like if the US just had a single swing state that dictated the result of every election.

There's actually other margin seats across the country, it's just Dickson was the most popular one. I don't know why tbh

So yeah, it's pretty much a swing "state"

Idk if anyone here watches footy, but I saw Western Bulldogs VS Hawthorn at Marvel Stadium in Melb and my GOD it was abysmal.

We originally planned to catch the train but they got cancelled so we had to change the plans last minute. Missed most of the first quarter because of it. And our seats were RIGHT NEXT to the exit tunnel for Bulldogs so I missed seeing them come out :-(

My team (bulldogs) where playing half asleep. Hard to watch. We left early because there was no way the doggies were bouncing back and the game was getting dull.

The worst part of the night? The alcohol was $15 for a singular can. **** that

Anywhos, heres the "highlights". I had footage myself, but the quality is poor

I have no one to rant to about footy so I'm dumping it here, hoping one of yous watch footy lol

but sounds like a bad experience. i'd leave early if i was you too.

my schoolmates go mad over footy. they got shown a clip from a year ago where a queensland player got put off the field and started yelling like they got a million bucks hehe

yk that brings me to my next claim - why are these grown men fighting over sports like over the most minor inconvience. like dawg, i get that his finger was in your mouth for 2 seconds, that was no need to bodyslam him

i've seen 5th graders more mature then these guys sometimes

Yes. We're a bunch of fearful fools. That probably comes from the scary images we sometimes see on TV or in movies. We live in a part of the world without immediate danger, so we're not used to it. This image is also a good example of our exaggerated fear. Kept it in my Australia folder for years.

Haha! Very funny guys. There is a movie based on Australia called ‘Red Dog’ it’s about Australian stereotype’s in the 1970’s in the regional town of WA. It has a dog named Red Dog and a community of men who work for the mines. I’m doing this for English this term because the topic was Australian identity in films and commercials (for example culture, music and hobbies).

We did something similar in history. We had to watch the 'football, meat pies, kangaroos and holden cars' ad and re-write it to make it accurate to 2025

Wow interesting.. I did this same topic as English back in film class last year as well. But it was mixed with one term of writing about a show scene in a tv show (camera angle, costumes and background). Thank god that was only a paragraph and more relax in writing compared to English which is 5 paragraphs and one paragraph structure in the conclusion about 3 scenes in ‘Red dog’. Then the next term was creating a film/short video about the Australian identity. Which I did was put funny Steve Irwin clips together to make a story about his day at the zoo kind of like a YTP style. I still have the original video somewhere and wanted to share it YT after I got an A on it but I ended up not (normally video making in film means you find a group choose one script film and edited it). But since my group was dog ….! The teacher let me make a YTP type of video because they haven’t started and only me and my friend got marked on the YTP video even though I was the only one who made the video

I thought Australian history is also about the native Australians, the Aboriginals. That seems to be much more difficult because of the lack of documentation in that time. Do you get educated in that?

When it comes to learning about Australian history we learn about how the British get here, gold rush or we learn about stereotypes and ww1 and 2. We don’t really get told about indigenous or Torres Strait culture unless it’s NAIDOC Week most times

My school didn't celebrate Naidoc week this year because it was in school break.
