The overdriven guitars remind me a little of this song from "The Jesus and Mary Chain"

real hard stuff...I like it...seems to have passed me by...keep in mind that I lived on the other side of the wall, and my only source at the time was a small British military radio station (BFBS) on FM and some German-speaking stations from Berlin (West), which mostly offered mainstream music...
There was one radio station in Los Angeles, KROQ, that would play British stuff. Sometimes other stations in other places like Philadelphia would syndicate or whatever it's called their shows where they would broadcast them locally. When I moved to Los Angeles and could listen to it all the time, I found lots of great music I otherwise would have missed, like The Primitives. I used to tape the shows. I remember hearing the early version of Thru the Flowers that way.
Note despite the wrong album cover this is very different from the later version I posted several posts up.l i t t l e s t e p h e r s- Translate

There was one DJ at KROQ that discovered a lot of 80s bands and played their stuff on the air for the first time. Rodney Bingenheimer, "Rodney on the ROQ".
"He has been described as the first DJ to play many up-and-coming bands, including the Runaways, Blondie, the Ramones, the Pandoras, the Hollywood Squares, Social Distortion, Van Halen, Duran Duran, Oasis, the Donnas, No Doubt, Dramarama, the Offspring, the Go-Go's, Germs, the B-52's, X, Sex Pistols, Teenage Fanclub, the Smiths, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and others."
Pretty sure he also was the first to play Talking Heads and Oingo Boingo.l i t t l e s t e p h e r s- Translate

Some good dancing by Kate Bush. Turn it up, all the videos of this song have low volume for some reason.
Yeah she looks gorgeous with that 80's feathered hair.
It's really annoying how YouTube keeps putting distracting suggestions at the top and plastering pictures of other videos near the end. Really wish there was a way to block that other than downloading the video and watching it locally.l i t t l e s t e p h e r s- Translate
