Rare vocal style where you can tell the singer (who is excellent) is English. Usually English singers sound American because they sing all the consonants that they drop when speaking in their accent. The layered guitars remind me of The Smiths.

I like some throat metal myself, especially if I'm exercising or on a run. A friend gave me this and a few other albums by Equilibrium ten years ago. They've had some crazy staying power for me. It's one of the few bands that I can keep listening to over and over and never get sick of.

I really like these orchestral versions of their songs. His voice is a pretty weird mix with the orchestral music. I like it, but somehow I would hesitate to put it on for someone else.
