Or do you dump it in the tin and throw away the bag?

chuft I dump it in the tin. I gotta make stuff easy for myself or it’s just another barrier to ever doing it. I store the tin in the fridge, though.

Ah good idea. Although when you take it out I guess you have to be quick, since cold stuff attracts condensation and I wouldn't want it getting wet.

The dew point is 46 here right now, barely warmer than the fridge.

YOU have to be quick if the dew point there is like 30 degrees warmer than the fridge.

No. Although I did see the James Cameron movie but I suspect that's something else entirely.

Yeah the room condensation thing seems to be an issue. You aren't supposed to take it out and open it right away, it has to warm up.

          Some tests someone did

          https://everyonestea.blogspot.com/20...orage.html?m=1

Weirdly part 2 comes a year before part 1. Peculiar. He concluded room temp and freezer were both better for storage in one test, but in another it seems the fridge one was less bitter. I guess it depends on whether you like bitterness.

          https://www.reddit.com/r/tea/comment..._need_to_keep/

Reddit people seem to like refrigerating it and it seems to be a common practice. On the other hand, clearly it did not arise this way in the 1500's and is a new, technology based thing.

My sister has had four cups of black tea today. Help me tell my female parental figure why this isn't healthy for someone her age.

I still have one Avatar episode, downloaded years ago because someone posted on Wiki that Julianna was voice-acting. Which was false info though.

No tea or coffee in it either 😉
Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc.

avatar is one of nickelodeons best shows tbh. i dont watch it much.

but i do know that it beat spongebob at the kca in 2008, so nickelodeon made sure avatar never ran for kca again lol. losers.

I have to declare my Naoki powder experiment a failure. Adding several 1/8 tsp scoops of it to the Ito En bags does not increase umami flavor at all. I thought (pursuant to an Amazon review) that the umami had decreased in the Ito En green tea with matcha because they had reduced the matcha powder in it, but adding a whole lot more than they could possibly have had before still does not restore it.

Might just be this brand, I may try again with a different brand of matcha powder or a different Naoki product. They list one that is high umami but it was out of stock. The Naoki ceremonial grade product is interesting if added to some cold water, adds a little zip and a lot of green, but that is not worth $24 a tin.

The Chiran harvest one is back in stock but $36 for 40g ow. By far the most umami and least bitter of the ones Naoki sells.

I decided to treat myself and buy the outrageously priced Chirin Harvest while it's in stock. Matcha is only harvested in the Spring apparently and there is now a worldwide shortage due to stupid TikTok influencers of all things.

I used camelcamelcamel to look at the price history and apparently it hasn't been cheaper than $35 since at least 2020 so this price does not seem shortage-related, which seems odd. I expect it to go up, due to tariffs if nothing else.
