Here is a version of one his songs, played live at a concert in China, which has a great synthesizer solo absent in the studio album. This is very unlike most of his stuff, which is more atmospheric, with an early Pink Floyd kind of feel, like the albums above.
That solo synth performance was great, and from the video it seems it was a hand-synth like the way you play a guitar.
I made a cover of the song once and added the solo synth. It's uploaded somewhere, can't remember. It sounds more like the album version though.

For the impatient, the solo synth starts around 3:30.

All this music from that time reminds me of Andreas Vollenweider and the whole New Age movement....a lot of bad synth music got made and sold as "New Age." I found very little virtue in most of it. But Vollenweider was pretty good, if you like really light music.

This album had the coolest cover

but this one had the best songs

    except for these two

Electric harp was his thing. Made you realize how boring it would be to be an actual Elf. It's alright for awhile, but soon you are aching for electric guitar.

Meanwhile in the UK....sinister synths and discordant piano sounds, and eerie lyrics

Speaking of music history, here is some of the 1920s music I put on in the background when Mythos gaming.

Here is a creepified version of it to put on later in the game when shoggoths roam the streets.

Thanks. It's less complicated than it sounds. Repeating chords.

You're never too old to learn. If you would like to start learning how, I can give you the project file of this cover-song.

Thanks but it's too late for me. RSI in my wrists and arms. I can't play a musical instrument, that door is forever closed.
