Sounds like something with the HDD.
I used to be able to do that with my old rig and windows 10.

Nah, it's the OS. I've checked everything again. Memtested the memory.
Checked the drives health. All the motherboard voltages and whatnot are fine.
Oh and the power supply is fine too.

Remember it's not just me with this issue. Many others too.

The error is always random but the majority was Memory crashes. Haven't
gotten that yet. The next crash it'll list something different.

There is actually one more issue I want to rant about. Drivers.
When I was installing the drivers for the Flight Stick, Windows would
not complete the install. Blocked. Due to the system claiming incompatible drivers.
I was forced to turn off Core Isolation and I can't turn it back on again until
I either find updated drivers or delete them.

All that wording is a lot of bs. What they mean to say is that the device companies
are no long paying the extortion money to Microsoft to keep their drivers certified.
      Especially for old devices.

A 1-year Microsoft Authenticode certificates: Can range from $199.99 to $400
      For every driver.

I know those drivers are perfectly fine. Everyone knows those drivers are perfectly fine.
What pisses me off the most is there's no white list feature like you have with the
other areas of the security. Of course not, if they allowed a white list then they couldn't
keep extorting the money from these companies.

I'm also going to start disabling services that are non-essential to try and see
if any of those are causing the Windows 11 to blue screen. I disabled SysMain
which used to be named SuperFetch.

SysMain, formerly known as SuperFetch, is a Windows service designed to improve system performance
by preloading frequently used applications into memory, allowing them to launch faster. It analyzes your PC's usage patterns
to predict which applications you're likely to use and preloads them into RAM, making them readily available when you need them.

There is an ongoing debate about it still even when it was SuperFetch. But I'll see.

I shut off a few more non-essential services and got down to 189 processes from
        217. Not too bad for a start. I forgot to do a before screen shot.

However, I did a reboot and right as the computer went to reboot, blue screen. This time reason PFN-List Corrupt.
I've gotten that error before with the old Windows 11 install.

The "PFN_LIST_CORRUPT" BSOD error in Windows 11 often indicates issues with memory management or corrupted system files.
Common causes include faulty drivers, corrupted system files, or even hardware problems. To address this, try updating drivers, running system file checks, and performing memory diagnostics.
So, I'm going to assume those services I shut off aren't the culprit. It's not memory or hard drives. They've all been checked.
        And checked. And checked.

I was forced to turn off Core Isolation and I can't turn it back on again until
I either find updated the drivers or delete them.

So the flight stick thing works if you turn off Core Isolation? Never heard of this stuff. How did you know to do that?

Oh thanks I missed that point. Yes the standard windows game controller does recognize the flight stick. I calibrated it and all with it.
However, I need to use the Saitek app and that requires the Saitek drivers. It will not install without it. I need that app
to make profiles and assign keys to it for games that don't have flight stick support. Like GTA V. That's how I needed to do it
when I first played GTA V on windows 7. Except that Windows 7 didn't block the drivers. The game simply does not recognize it
even though windows does. I could get away without doing all this if I was going to play a old flight sim.

The app is the picture I posted in a previous post.

I could uninstall it when I'm done with the flight skill test and turn the core protection back on. I only need to use the flight controller
for the flying skill test scenarios you get scored on. Reinstall it if I want to do it all over again. It's all a pain in the butt really.

How did you know the core protection was off?

I just looked and mine is off. I don't have a flight stick and there is no list of incompatible drivers.

Core Isolation is enabled by default in Windows 11 24H2

I had to turn it off in order to install the Saitek drivers. When I try to turn it back
                on I get:

Click image for larger version Name:	CoreIsolation03.png Views:	0 Size:	105,3 KB ID:	206538

Are you using 11 or 10 at home? I forget which one you have.

Also, I keep calling it core protection sometimes instead of Isolation. Same shit.

Technically I should be saying Memory Integrity. But it's all part of the Core Isolation.

Why do you want to run Windows 11 so desperately when you know it causes problems?

Windows 10 is running fine here and I'm not considering upgrading to a version with bugs. Besides, all my software runs smooth now.

                      Most impressive.

I let the computer run since last night.
Not a single random blue screen. And when
I just did the shut down, no blue screen on exit.
I know I'm going to regret saying all that. hehe

When I loaded up the gimp, it jumped up on the
                      active processes.

I don't have the Adobe suite installed yet. I was using gimp 2.0 on the old install for simple cropping and resizing. Gimp 3.0 now.

Windows 10 continues to run after October so that's not the problem. You can turn off notices. Updates are not really necessary if you use the same software.
For hardware, manufacturers will keep making drivers for Win10 for another 10 years probably or 11 drivers are compatible with 10.
