Ugh, there was a girl in my high school who cried all the time. It was in home ec class though, I mean come on. The teacher was kind of scary, but I certainly would not be crying in front of everyone.
So uh...just now there was some girl who started crying in class because the teacher was going too fast..according to her atleast. The ****?
"Too fast" in what way, where?
I presume he means the teacher was talking too fast, so the pace of the lesson was too fast.
Yes that's what I mean. Now, I could almost, MAYBE accept crying as a legitimate reaction to such a thing on rare occasion. Except, we weren't even going fast. At all. Not just "we weren't going fast for me," we weren't going fast as an objective fact. Next think you know shes crying and the teacher is like "uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
Literally lol. It was funny.
Try Stony Brook University. It meets just about every one of your criteria. It's mainly a research institution for sciences (I'll be studying engineering there in the fall), but they are very big in other areas also. A number of English teachers in my high school went there. Definitely check it out, stonybrook.edu
This class is miserable. Can't believe it's 3 hours long. Don't think I've listened to a damn word today, just been surfing the netz. On the plus side, it doesn't look like I will have any/nowhere near as much homework this week for this class as I should cause what we're learning right now is the assignment I did a few days ago and it doesn't look like we'll be getting to the next one anytime soon.
