I don't think any of my neighbours have cable either (and even if they did, I live in a semi-rural area, the houses are not exactly on top of one another). Satellite is the more usual form of pay TV here, and even then it's rather less common than I get the impression it is in the States.

Have you ever heard of hacked access cards?
I've only ever been in a house that I knew had any form of pay TV once that I can remember in my life. Even my well-off Sydney-living relatives don't have it.
Frankly, it's almost the same sort of foreign concept to me as eating caviar.
Part of what made Lazytown appealing to me is that when they had a message (which wasn't always the case. What was the message of Secret Agent Zero?) it was secondary (if not tertiary) to being an entertaining show.
The message of Secret Agent Zero is "it's cool play to the spies" =P. Simple like that. Appart of being a great episode (One of my favorite of the first season, with Sportacus Who?)

I think maybe the reason we're suddenly having normal educational stuff in our health education is somebody, somewhere, criticised LT for only educating about exercise and healthy eating, and Magnus took it a little too much to heart (or perhaps was obliged to to retain one of its markets). Most kids' educational programs these days try to cover everything, which can get pretty anvilicous, and I actually thought LT's one trick pony meant that the lesson was less likely to obscure the story. (And it gave balance: most shows focus on something academic with the occasional health lesson. The only other kids' show I know of based on exercise and diet is 'Active Kidz' on the Aussie ABC, and it's a boring, didactic POS.)
Also: the sports hero who can't stand still for 5 seconds is suddenly sitting around reading all day? His sports equipment has been replaced with an enormous library of hardcover classics? WTF?
I read somewhere (I can`t quote where now) one of the favorite hobbies of Magnùs is read. Appart, Sportacus can't stand still for 5 second doing nothing. He's reading for godness sake. That is something. And it's difficult, ya know? We don't hate to read the Quijote of la Mancha for nothing...
I still don't understand why are you saying "Normal Education Stuff". Eat Fruits and not Junk Food is a Normal Education Stuff. Brush your Teeths 3 times at day it's a normal education stuff. The only think I really believe Lazy Town is make different is make that look like something cool and not only something good for you. Appart, made exercise and eat fruits looks like the normal message of Lazy Town because Sportacus is always doing that, but the message of LazyTown is do something. Just move. And seriously, I feel the message like that.
The Ancient Greeks says, Healthy mind, into a healthy body. I think into the production on LazyTown understand this perfectly. But, apparently, I have to say it into a inversed way here...
