I seriously don't know how they got away with those "panty shots" in the earlier episodes. If the show was anywhere near popular in the United States, parents would be picketing outside of Viacom headquarters.

Have you seen any vid of Glanni!Solla? Girl couldn't walk without showing off her undies. I'm inclined to say it just doesn't have the same significance to Icelandic folk, and since most of the crew are Icelandic, it didn't occur to them to go 'hey, Steph shows off her knickers rather a lot, doesn't she?', and since Juli is a dancer, and knows that the piece of clothing showing isn't actually underpants, she wouldn't object either. it wasn't until non-dancers of English-speaking nations got their hands on it people started going 'this is a bit ... odd', and possibly a growing Juli is more conscious of her body, and therefore suggested Steph have more modest clothes.
