Social media ban under 16 in Australia

You don't, obviously. Uploading videos is communication with others. That is what the law is trying to prevent since YouTube has comments and direct messages.- Translate

Ok, how do I upload my videos to youtube with no account?- Translate

I don't think anything is banned. The companies have to make sure that people under 16 can't have accounts, as I understand it. That prevents interaction which is the goal.
I use Firefox with Ublock Origin and get no ads. Same with Chrome at work.- Translate

Maybe I'm missing something but the law is about social media sites, not the internet in general. I don't think it would stop you from viewing a YouTube, just from having an account there where others could interact with you. I don't think it would stop you from having a website either. Or viewing math websites or anything else.
Frankly YouTube is much better without an account since you can use an ad blocker. For viewing anyway. I don't have YouTube account and see no ads whatsoever.
I grew up making comics, writing etc. None of those things require the internet. Nor does editing images. I learned to use Photoshop before the internet even existed.
The real world is a big place. Much bigger and more interesting than the internet frankly.

Same here as well, though I don’t live rural. The internet’s videos to describe how to do a math problem like probability, mean/median and etc, is much better than most of my teachers teaching it. Since I have a disability when it comes to learning
2nd try with quoting as I don’t know what I’m doing
You're doing well with the quoting, it's pretty easy to use
But yeah, you're right. All those hobbies of yours are pretty common for kiddos and it would be literally impossible without the internet.

True and I just became administrator for another show’s wiki page last week over on Fandom. And I can’t afford losing it all after all the hard work I put in even on YouTube too
I know you can’t afford to lose most of the subscribers and the views after all your hard work just because of idiot parents letting their child roam free with strangers (especially on Snapchat)- Translate

Some of my hobbies involve being on the internet. This can take kids like me's creative drive away.
I like drawing web-comics. Coding websites, editing videos, writing scripts. Editing images.
I can't do that without the internet- Translate

Something else. I don't think the government thought much about the negative impact this law would have.
I speak from experience when saying the internet helped me connect with people I otherwise couldn't have and seriously helped me when I felt that no-one could see me for who I was. This was especially true since I lived rural.
I can't imagine what kids in my situation can do now that the internet isn't available for them. It could destroy there mental health. Drive them to suicide.

Finally, 2 people who agree with meeeeeeeee!!!
I can’t believe the premier believes these people or unless he is getting forced too. As in these fake people will not shut up about social media (In all honesty they probably post their kids on Facebook and say that the public can’t see it but they can)- Translate

Srry for being a little late. I just finished having dinner and finding one of my school medal under my bed

Honestly these parents are just morons. They mess up and blame it on something else- Translate

Anyway, it really more the parents fault than anything. I had a friend say “The reason why the ban is happening and kids are dying is because their own kid doesn’t trust them” (for example they know their parents will jokes about it and ignore it). Also, on the 60 minutes channel one of the parents did the most fakes crys I ever seen. Yet they given their 11 years old kid their phone back even after they found out their kid was to talking on Snapchat to strangers and guess what happens next… 🙄
... Hey, Sheryl, let's give him his phone back. What's the worst that could happen?'
