It’s different depending on what school you go to. My school did NAIDOC normally during this term or mid of last term. But this year they did it when they booted out all the seniors for school holidays on the last week of term 2. All of my primary schools did it, during the beginning of this term or three weeks before school holidays. But NAIDOC week actually starts during the school holidays. But most schools still honour it out of respect.

H2O Just Add Water (TV Series 2006–2010). Australian series.
Series were broadcasted here later than 2010. I was too old already for the mermaid outfit πŸ§œβ€β™€οΈ but I liked to watch the series.

God I remember Hi-5. Absolutely nothing sticks with me. All I remember is that they were loud, colorful and I was obsessed

I was an absolute Hi-5 kid even have the first CD they released and the single version of the Christmas album with the original cast Charli, Nathan, Tim, Kellie and Kathleen. I used to blast both in the car and in my room when I was little. Though I grew up in the era of the 2nd cast I did have one dvd only featuring one episode of the 2nd cast.

I’ve heard of the show but never watched it. I grew up with an Australian show called Fairies which was an interesting live action show from the late 90’s to late 00’s (wasn’t too fond of it). If anyone watched Fairies growing up, here’s a little fun fact: one of the original cast members in Fairies was the daughter of Peter Combe. Who’s that you wonder welll… β€˜When Mr Clicketty Cane, plays his silly game All the kids in the street, they like to do the same. Wash your face in orange juiceβ€˜. Yep she the daughter of that guy lol.

Here her (the pink one) is in the original fairies:

She also appears in Humphrey B. Bear (It was one of the most successful and longest-running children's programs in Australia)

Never take an Australian seriously. It'll only make it funnier

You'd probably die of laughter hearing me talk lol. I've got a broad accent, like the king himself, Steve Irwin. It's the least serious of the Aussie accents

Calling all sheilas, blokes and bogans

Is it just me, or is it weird seeing all this Hallowe'en stuff around? Hallowe'en didn't exist in AU until 2020-2021 (at least in Victoria) and it's giving me major confusion and whiplash.
I always saw it as a US thing, like thanksgiving and Wendy's and baseball. Am I crazy? Out of touch? Do any other Aussies feel this way? Like we're being Americanised?

If a country becomes lazy and cheap, it will be flooded with junk from the US and China. This is also slowly happening here in Europe, especially with digital platforms.

Although I do believe there's been a change recently.
