The above three I found disturbing because the individuals meant to scare the audience did so well. Their look, sound (in some cases) and movements that were sometimes contorted scared the crud out of me. That's probably why I haven't seen Guillermo del Toro's "Mama" yet. I hear the movie has scares along these lines.

- Alien
- The Mangler
I don't do well with gore unless it's hokey and the concept behind it is ridiculous.
I tend to lean towards suspenseful sort of scary movies (think the original House on Haunted Hill). They don't leave me with nightmares to conquer.
Life is a journey, time is a river and the door is ajar. If a bush comes after you with a fishing pole and an umbrella...RUN!
Downfall. That movie haunted me. This is something that not as many people called "Decasugenetivophobia", the rational fear of the movie "Downfall" and Downfall parodies in general.
