      Very interesting...hmm...
Well, did you like it? I found it depressing that no one got out alive.

yeah that's what usually happens in "found footage" movies

            - Pulse
            - The Ring (and Ringu)
            - The Grudge
The above three I found disturbing because the individuals meant to scare the audience did so well. Their look, sound (in some cases) and movements that were sometimes contorted scared the crud out of me. That's probably why I haven't seen Guillermo del Toro's "Mama" yet. I hear the movie has scares along these lines.
            - Leviathan
            - The Thing
            - Alien
            - The Mangler
I don't do well with gore unless it's hokey and the concept behind it is ridiculous.
I tend to lean towards suspenseful sort of scary movies (think the original House on Haunted Hill). They don't leave me with nightmares to conquer.

Downfall. That movie haunted me. This is something that not as many people called "Decasugenetivophobia", the rational fear of the movie "Downfall" and Downfall parodies in general.

                  -Pet Sematary
The scene where Gage is hiding under the bed and slices whatshisname's Achilles tendon with a straight razor shook me to my core.

                  -The Brave Little Toaster
Don't laugh!! That damn magnet haunted my childhood! Something about it was so beyond sinister.

I love both movies now, but as a kid, they freaked me out big time.
