Interesting article however it's assuming a lot in terms of Dinosaur biology which the scientists are still debating about. We don't know if they were cold blooded, warm blooded or something in between or something else entirely. The Earth's history is replete with cycles of mass extinctions. It's a highly complex issue with no one real cause. Asteroids, variations in the Earth's orbit closer or further away from the sun, Variations in the Sun's energy output, Earth's magnetic poles shifting and flipping, Earth's geological activity, Ocean currents etc... Heck for all we know even the position of the solar system in the galaxy may have profound effect.

Speaking of the shifting poles it's happening now which may be the reason for the issues of the animals

    It's all food for thought.

Oh no!! Don't tell me that it got Mr. Hanky too ... surely this is a dark brown day for us all
        Actually, her original statement stands.

90% of feces is dead bacteria from your body, so that covers the dead part.
England's population is about 50 million, and with an estimate of 1/2 of those people crapping at any given day that would leave about 25 million craps a day which is of course just 25,000 x 1,000.
So yes -- thousands of dead craps are produced in England every day, not to mention every year.

Those hieroglyphs are fascinating but their form is just a coincidence. My teacher from the Egypt class told us that these were created when the Egyptians overwrote older hieroglyphs. This does not take away the fact that it looks like a freaking helicopter though!! A helicopter!!

Yeah I agree. They drew alot so it was bound to happen.
Besides, aliens fly things much better than helicopters.

Personally I was thinking more along the lines of an Egyptian Nerd. One like today's nerd smarter than what's good for him. He could have been the head hieroglyphic artist for all we know and decided to put up a few of his idea chiseled into rock. Or even still, like a medieval nerd like Leonardo Da Vinci. Look at the stuff he conjured up. Hell even the ancient Greeks created a steam engine. Both Egypt and Leonardo suffered great losses though. Egypt and it's Library of Alexandria which the Romans destroyed and Leonardo on his death most of his work was either lost or destroyed out of sheer ignorance or religious intolerance. What we have left are mere fragments of brilliant minds. Medical researchers still turn to Da Vinci's work in anatomy to come up with new insights into how the body functions and have been coming out with new techniques based on the works passed down to us.

On 19 March, the full moon will appear unusually large in the night sky as it reaches a point in its cycle known as 'lunar perigee'. The full moon could appear up to 14% bigger and 30% brighter in the sky, especially when it rises on the eastern horizon at sunset or is provided with the right atmospheric conditions.

This phenomenon has reportedly heightened concerns about 'supermoons' being linked to extreme weather events - such as earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis. The last time the moon passed close to the Earth was on 10 January 2005, around the time of the Indonesian earthquake that measured 9.0 on the Richter scale.

Quake moved Japan coast 8 feet; shifted Earth's axis

(CNN) -- The powerful earthquake that unleashed a devastating tsunami Friday appears to have moved the main island of Japan by 8 feet (2.4 meters) and shifted the Earth on its axis.

"At this point, we know that one GPS station moved (8 feet), and we have seen a map from GSI (Geospatial Information Authority) in Japan showing the pattern of shift over a large area is consistent with about that much shift of the land mass," said Kenneth Hudnut, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Reports from the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology in Italy estimated the 8.9-magnitude quake shifted the planet on its axis by nearly 4 inches (10 centimeters).

That being said, 1000 lives lost in a densely populated area hit my a massive earthquake and a tsunami is pretty damn good. Paper houses ftw?

For now somewhat but if the containment bunkers are compromised

Operators at the Fukushima Daiichi plant's Unit 1 detected eight times the normal radiation levels outside the facility and 1,000 times normal inside Unit 1's control room.
