My outer ears have been bothering me a bit, think the entire area is just irritated, have been thinking about using some of that earwax drops stuff and a bulb to wash them out.

I saved some of the old big bulbs, now they give you those tiny ones lol. Ridiculous.
But as for my inner ear, no I have not had any pain or heard any crackling when I swallow or had any hearing problems. Those usually are the sign of fluid filling the inner ear. If you have that, I would use Guaifenesin (sold here as Mucinex pills). That is the best thing for clearing out inner ear congestion, makes the mucous thinner so it can drain out.
Gotta be careful to read the ingredients because they will take a brand name product (like Guaifenesin cough syrup, called here Robitussin, or Guaifenesin pills, called here Mucinex) and make a whole product line out of it by adding or changing ingredients and keeping the same brand name on it. I am careful to use pure Guaifenesin without anything else, in fact I tend to always use medicines with a single ingredient so I can control exactly what I am taking at any given time. Have separate pills for Guaifenesin, pseudoephedrine, dextromethorphan etc.
Did I mention I also use Afrin at times - oxymetazoline decongestant nasal spray. Usually not congested enough to need it but I do use it on occasion when things are out of hand.
Yeah the Smiths capture my mood these days lol. Very sick and tired - still ill!
