Reminded me of this, one of the first jaw-dropping "dance virtuosity" videos I recall seeing other than some of Michael Jackson's.

The Jets released theirs 1985. Abdul 1988. The Jet's song was written by songwriting team of Jerry Knight and Aaron Zigman. Abdul's song written and produced entirely by Elliot Wolff. Trying to find a connection between them. No doubt Wolff liked the sound of the Jet's song. Par for the course in the music industry though. But yeah very similar and another good catch.

1:07 through 1:12 and 1:43 through 1:49 are really eye-popping. That male dancer is amazing.
