        • Reminded me of this, one of the first jaw-dropping "dance virtuosity" videos I recall seeing other than some of Michael Jackson's.

The Jets released theirs 1985. Abdul 1988. The Jet's song was written by songwriting team of Jerry Knight and Aaron Zigman. Abdul's song written and produced entirely by Elliot Wolff. Trying to find a connection between them. No doubt Wolff liked the sound of the Jet's song. Par for the course in the music industry though. But yeah very similar and another good catch.

1:07 through 1:12 and 1:43 through 1:49 are really eye-popping. That male dancer is amazing.

        • I listened to that one when I was going through all the 80s videos trying to find that one song.
          And this one -

            The 80s drums are great.
            One of my favorites

Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc.

Sounds like it was sample right from that song

There was probably only a limited amount of samples available at that time.

1987 vibes to be specific at least.

                • Bill Laswell time.

Song he made with Afrika Bambaataa and John Lydon (Johnny Rotten of Sex Pistols fame)

                  Another Laswell project.

Yup nowadays Lydon is more known for PIL. Public Image LTD. I posted his Rise (Anger is an Energy) music vid in October's thread or was it September.

I remember that first song you posted. Vaguely remember the second song. I actually went right to that playlist to check out the other songs from the album
before I even saw this post for the list. Didn't remember anything else from it.
